If you are buying a new DVD player (or replacing an old model), buy this.

I did! In the month or so of ownership, it has worked superbly well - and this for someone who knows nothing about DVD players.

I haven't even scratched the surface of all the player's features yet, suffice to say that for someone like me, who just wants to take it out of the box and plug it in, it is a model of simplicity.

All this and cracking Sony design that never dates and leaves other DVD players at this price for dust.

The multi-region aspect of the player just seals the deal - no fiddly pressing buttons or going through menus - whatever disc you put in, it plays it - simple as that!

extremely pleased with this superb sony dvd player. the picture and sound quality is superb,and it plays EVERYTHING.I had a few chinese dvd,s which my previous player [multi-region,or so i thought!]could,nt play.the sony played them with ease.there is a lot of tweaking of sound and picture settings possible to please anyone so inclined,but frankly,the standard settings are so good you won,t have to! top marks to amazon for a fantastic player at a fantastic price.buy this with confidence-YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!

To many people buy DVD players without checking to make sure what formats it will play back in. This one is ideal as it plays everything you come across. I make my own DVD slideshows in VCD and dvd formats.....ideal for digital camera photos. In short I have a few DVD players, cus i have a few kids and in all the ones i have checked out on the high street, I promise you will NOT be disappointed when you get this one home. Dont spend more this one IS THE BEST.

Excellent value for money. Perfect player for first time dvd purchasers. Just plug in and you're ready to go. So far it has played everything I have tried. Originals, copies and region 1. Very good buy.

I've been looking for a Multi Region DVD off and on for a few months, so when I saw this Sony on Amazon, I couldn't resist. It looks fantastic and performs with clarity on both Picture and sound fronts. An excellant buy and well worth remcommending.

At £78 its and absolute steal!
