TV ok video ok but dvd naff

(3 out of 5) by Nicola Markham on Sep 17, 2008 (Basingstoke, England)
I bought this TV for the kitchen to save space. I do enjoy my movies on both VHS and DVD, the Tv has been great the video also flawless but the dvd very temperamental from about 3 monthas in and although will play Cd's will no longer play DvDs, i have to say i am not overly impressed with that part..
Now i know you might be thinking Ahh!! steam etc but i am blessed enough to have a large kitchen and the TV was always kept well away from water steam and other interference.
So in all to summerise again, the TV is great, ideal in fact, the Video plays good although as other reviews i cant record one channel and watch another but i think it does say that in the instructions, the dvd player makes a good Stero only. the TV gets daily use so i am not too upset but i have had to buy a separate dvd player.

My experience differs. Considerably.

Perhaps the one I bought was a duff one; otherwise I can't account for the glowing praise offered by my fellow reviewers. My Bush Combi's DVD facility jumps, sticks, skips, rejects...all but screams abuse at me. Which I'm driven to do to it, all too often. The VCR facility is delicate to the point of anaemia: It'll only work when it feels up to it.

And all these joys only really got into their stride two days after the guarantee had run out.

To my mind, it's a heap of junk.

Pros and Cons

(3 out of 5) by Betsy Trotwood on May 11, 2007
Pretty good if you want combined TV VCR and DVD player. Good picture etc. But I should point out that it doesn't have a sleep timer (I miss that!) and so far I haven't been able to set the recorder-timer AND watch the TV at the same time. It seems that the timer is only operational while the TV is on standby. I find this a HUGE drawback. (If I'm wrong or happen to have a faulty set, I'd appreciate some feedback.) It's very easy to use the instant record button, though. But why can't I watch another channel at the same time? It is only possible, it seems, to watch a DVD at the same time.

You Can't Buy Better!!

(5 out of 5) by Mr. Garry A. Gordon on Oct 9, 2006 (england)
Bought this TV very recently as we wanted a secound tv for upstairs as my wife was having a baby. It has great picture if you can adjust between your possibly larger flatscreen. Bonus of having the vcr to play a lot of kids videos that where not available on dvd in those early years. Just a shame it is a little bulky at the rear but for the price no complaints just a great buy!!

it is an extremely good tv ,both me and my brother have one. the picture and sound is amazing but the only downfall o it is the fact that after a couple of months the dvd player starts skipping on brand new dvds
