Creative have always been reknowned for their supieror digital sound products for computing - but they really have come up trumps with the MuVo 2 1.5GB MP3 Player.

There are many great festures on this player that make it stand out from the rest. Firstly, its compact design. It really does just sit in the palm of your hand. Although the clear front gets easily scratched. The controls are really easy to use however there is sometimes a little bit of lag loading a song if it is not next in line to be played.

The 1.5GB storage space is quite small compaired to many players however at CD quality encoding you can fit upwards of 350 odd songs on it which is really more than enough for more people - much more and most of it you will never listen to.

The sound quality of this little player is phoenominal. Creative have obviously ensured that only their best sound cards are used in their players as nothing comes near it. The clarity is superb and although it does not go as loud as many players - it goes as loud as it can without distortion or other ill effects.

The battery life is plentiful and it takes next to no time to charge. Transfering files on USB 1.1 is quite taxing on the battery but keep it plugged into the mains and it is a dream even on the slower protocol - only a few seconds per track.

All in all this is a great little player with superb sound quailty and only a few slightly annoying characteristics such as the track loading when scanning through rather than letting it just play.

However all in all the sound quality ensures a big 5/5!
