Not what I expected

I bought this item thinking I buying a bargain data cable. When it arrived i found that for starters in order to plug your phone into the computer you need to take it to pieces first. You don't simply plug it into your phone like the Nokia cable. A connection was very rarely achieved as well.
There is no software with this product so if you wanna use it you need to fork out and pay for other software (does NOT work with Nokia suite). There isn't even any information included as to where to get any software from!
The clips that hold your phone to the cable are very easy to break (as i found after about five minutes use).

All in all I would advise customers to not buy this product and opt to buy the official nokia data cable which does work with the software you get with your phone/cable.

Useless

Bought one of these to go with my Nokia 6100. Absolutely useless! No instructions supplied, even has a serial port connector on one end, not usb! Don't waste your money!

very poor - returned to Amazon within 10 minutes...

Don't bother buying this cable! 1. It isn't compatable with Nokia's PC suite. 2. It comes with no information on use whatsoever. 3. There is nothing on the manufacturers website in terms of drivers / instructions.

If you were thinking of buying a data cable because you don't have infrared on your PC, - you can buy a usb infrared adaptor for around the same price as this cable

Disappointing? Understatement of the year!

Okay, so it was really cheap, but at least you'd expect it to work?

Taking the phone apart to get it working is the first problem, especially as my 3100 (compatible handset, according to Pama) doesn't like to remember the date and time. Then it fails to charge the phone, and it doesn't work with the Nokia PC Suite software...all in all, extremely disappointing and frustrating.

My cable was returned back to Amazon on the same day.

My advice? Spend and extra £15 and get something that comes with a simple USB cable. It's worth it.

Waste of time and money

What a waste of time! Can only echo the words of the other two reviews here. Product was useless and didnt work. DO NOT BUY!! Go to a shop and get the GENUINE Nokia Lead which will work with your software. I know it costs more, but atleast you can be assured that it will work!
