simply pure acoustic pleasure
702 has been the replacement of my EVOKE since March.
excellend slim design and fantastic blue indicators and display with brightness control.
it comes with optical port which is constantly hooked to the minidisc player - quality of recording f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!
worthy every penny - highly reccommended to anyone who enjoys listening to radio

As good as reception allows
The Pure DRX 702ES came well recommended so it seemed the obvious choice when I decided to move to Digital radio, especially as I was able to secure it at a bargain price.
While I am very happy with my purchase, it was certainly easy enough to set up, I have to admit that I am not too impressed with Digital broadcasting. Receiving both traditional and Digital signals it is easy to compare them, and the quality of Digital broadcasting does not compare favourably. So while there maybe an abundance of stations available at the press of a button (and perhaps too many so one is spoilt for choice); I listen almost exclusively to the traditional analogue broadcasts for quality of sound.
One niggle with my receiver is that the remote no longer works. It packed up after 13 months and so it and then the receiver itself went back, and no fault was found. When it was returned all was well for a few months and then it packed up again. I haven't bothered to do anything about it now as the high cost of returning it yet again hardly seems worth it.
