DP-1000 - looks pretty cool, acts pretty cool.

I ordered this on the premise that it looks good, is cheap, has progressive scan and a bunch of handy outputs - Now I'm using it, I can say the only problems I had with it were the "enter" button on the remote needs a strong push to work, but you get used to it. The other problem is a bit of a concern - the one that I had been shipped came with a 2-pin power plug, in cable bags marked for use in the EU(Not the UK) - After arguing a bit with Amazon they sent me a 3-pin plug, and it now seems to work, but it did wind me up.

quite good

I was suprised when i put my 1st Divx cd in to the kiss dvd player because it played! You find some won't play but thats life. As for 95% of my divx's they play and thats over 60 not bad only if you could hook it up to your pc or mac and download updates.
IT WAS ABOUT TIME A DVD PLAYER COULD PLAY OTHER FORMATS RATHER THAN DVD AND THE POOR AS VCD!

WELL DONE KISS

No worries at all

Just been playing with this little beauty for the past 2 hours...and it's the best piece of tech around. Plays everything first time, no issues at all with setup and I've just burned the latest operating system and made my player region free.

Marvellous.

What an awfull piece of equipment. I bought this dvd player for its DivX functionality and because it has component video output. As soon as i connected it to my plasma TV i went through the quick setup guide, selected component output and it didn't work (my TV said no signal was detected) I tried various options in the setup menu which was extremely annoying as i had to press each button about 50 times before the player recognised the button press. I am returning this for a refund !

I've waited ages for a player to come out that would play divx files mp3,4 etc. I must admit when i read the specs before ordering the player, i was a little dubious. However everything it says it does it does. Once with an AVI file the machine hung, However pull the plug out, put it back in and you're back in business. Can't believe such an excellent machine is available at such a reasonable price. Buy one today
