Great receiver

The AVR-5500 is a major step up from my previous AVR-2500. Although its predecessor was a solid enough receiver, HK has added enough extra features and decoding options to make the AVR-5500 a genuine improvement. Its performance is of a consistently high quality, while the upgrade options ensure that it's adaptable to future developments.

If you're after a midrange receiver to act as your home entertainment centrepiece, the AVR-5500 is hard to beat.
