I have been using the 256 Mb card for sometime and am amazed at its performance. The operation is smooth and fast which allows the camera to store pcitures very fast. This saves a lot of time.

Fast writing speeds and reliable make.

Feb 4, 2004 - By Silverfrog (Leeds UK)

I bought the Fuji 250Mb SD card for use with my PDA and I have been very happy with it. By the way if you were worried that the description says that it is an XD type card, don’t worry, it must be a misprint or something as it is definitely an SD card. I bought it in conjunction with the Hama 6 in 1 card reader and I have been really impressed by the read and write speed. Transfer of large files from my PC to the card has been fast and reading data on my PDA have also been really good. There is sometimes a bit of a delay when it is initially reading a folder full of pictures but slideshows have displayed without any delays. No problem with music files either. They sound great! I initially was thinking about some of the other brand memory cards, but decided on this one as there were very little price differences, and I already trusted Fuji products on the whole. I would definitely recommend this memory card to anybody.

It does all that I ask - I'm happy

May 20, 2004 - By Amazon Customer

I won't pretend that there was some great technical advantage I'd spotted with this SD card which made me choose it above any others - I chose it simply because it was the cheapest 256MB SD card I could find.

To tell you the truth, I don't know the first thing about technical stuff, camera memory cards or otherwise. But I did know that my 16MB memory card that was provided with my camera just wasn't letting me fulfill the super-duper-all-singing-all dancing digital camera's potential.

So, after doing a little price-checking, I found the Fuji card to be what I wanted. I knew that 256MB would be a decent size, and I knew Fuji to be a reliable company, so I decided to purchase it.

I've been pleased with it too. It's done all I've asked of it, safely storing pictures and videos taken by my camera, and then transferring then without problems to my PC.

I can't tell you all about the speeds etc, because I don't have a clue. I can't remember ever waiting for it though, which has to be a good thing. And it has never lost any data saved on it. I don't know if that happens to any memory cards, but it certainly doesn't happen to this one.

So overall, this camera gets a definite thumbs-up. It's done everything I've needed it to, and at the end of the day, that's all it has to do to get my approval. It's never let me down, so I can't fault it.

My conclusion : A great piece of technology with a great price tag. Exceptional value for money, and where the money is less, the quality of the product certainly isn't.

Impressed Owner Review

Mar 9, 2004 - By Amazon Customer

I used the previous reviews when buying this card and I would be inclined to both agree with their praise and in their recommendations to those looking for a fast, reliable and reasonable priced SD Card.

I recently became the prowd owner of a decent portable digital camera. I soon found that my MMC from an old mobile phone was compatible, but took a noticeable number of seconds to commit images to memory. This piece of hardware commits super quick. If your inclined to buy one, you would do well to at least consider this item.

Cheap, reliable but SMALL memory card!

Oct 16, 2008 - By Mr. M. A. Woods (Nottingham, England.)

Erm.....what to say?! This 256 megabyte SD (Secure Digital) memory card does what you would expect! It has a fast write speed - a 40 minute podcast is transferred over a USB 2.0 connection in about 30 seconds. It has never let me down...all data is 100 percent accurate.

There is a TINY lock slider on the left hand side of the unit which prevents accidental overwriting.

One corner of the card is missing to allow easy identification of which way to place the card into your device. The well printed label with arrow will allow you to get this right also.

Size is approximately about the size of a stamp...perhaps slightly bigger.

The copper contacts on the underside of the card are still in pristine condition after 6 months of use on my own example.

Overall a well built and reliable item. I would recommend this card without hesitation.
