Beware that the picture here is for the white Creatures, but Amazon will ship you the silver ones. Very disappointing to me, especially for the price paid. These speakers can be found well below the 100 US mark these days, but here in the UK we're asked considerably more.
The sound of these speakers is excellent, though there is an audible popping when changing the volume during play. The lows are great, as are the highs, but midrange is definitely lacking. That doesn't bother me much but if you're a midrange nut you might not appreciate the tone. This system is plugged into my Power Mac G4 and will soon be used to power an iPod as a flexible home stereo. It is well suited to either of these applications.
If you're not bothered about not knowing what color you get in the mail, not worried about the price, and you're not fussy over midrange, get yourself a set of these speakers. For what they are they're excellent.

These speakers are very loud and clear. A friend of mine came round and told me "how come your PC speakers are louder than my stereo speakers", my next door neighbour bangs on the wall to tell be to turn it down, which just goes to show how loud they are. Because of the high volume they are capable of encourages you to always have it on the loudest possible setting, bad idea! One of my speakers now crackles the other is on its way. Because of this I only gave it 4 stars; with the amount of money you pay you'd think that they'd be indestructible. The small speakers are a lot heavier then they look and pack a wallop you'd be surprised. I would have given it 5 stars because these are absolutely brilliant, extremely clear even at full volume with extreme bass if needed (if it wasn't for one of them breaking, 5 stars absolutely).

Wow, I just got these speakers last week for my iBook, and they look and sound amazing. The sound from them is crystal clear and immaculately reproduced at any volume, and they do go very loud. The bass will rattle windows and move bowels when turned right up. At first I didn't agree with an earlier review that said the middle frequencies were a little lacking, but when I set my equalizer to enhance middle frequencies, the results were quite breath-taking.
Not only do they sound great, but they look great too. I have the white ones, and their glossy white appearance, beautiful organic shape and chrome accents match my iBook and iPod perfectly. The down-firing blue LEDs are a really cool touch.
I'd recommend these speakers to anyone. They're well worth £100. I'm very happy with mine.

these great speackers one sub woofer and two speakers give a amazing sound just leave you stund they are great if you have an ipod because you can link it up to your speakers to make your own hi fi system with is so cool. there looks are just great amazing beautiful and you will be the coolest person in your street.
