Good improve on mega bass

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 5, 2003
It is a very good headphone when you want more mega bass. It has 3 different sizes within the box. You can find your own size very easily. But if you wear it for a long time, it realy hurt.

Very comfortable but cord is too short.

I bought these for my Creative Zen Touch, the sound quality is fine and they are extremely comfortable (the first pair of earphones I've ever found comfortable) but the cord is far too short - so short that I can't put the player in a pocket or sit back with the player resting on my leg, I have to actually hold it as the cord doesn't stretch far enough. When I plug in the extension, I lose the sound in my right ear - they are just not practical. I am astonished that more people haven't mentioned this. I suppose if you have a player that hangs round your neck, they're perfect! Personally, I will be sending them back.

very dissapointed. the 80% more power is not true. They headphones are very uncomfortable you have to literally plug them into your earlobes which is uncomfortable. yes they have more bass but with the cone so close to your eardrum they hurt your ears. dont buy bad design

Such a huge dissapointment

I received my first ipod plus gear pack with so much excitement only last week. I love my music, but until recently, haven't been able to afford the luxury of an ipod or zen. So when my ipod came, I couldn't wait to get it loaded and fired up! I ordered these special Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones in black - I ordered a black ipod, and wanted to match!!!I also ordered these for the unique earplugs, and for the raving reviews about sound quality. Like most people on here, I'm so passionate about music so I didn't mind investing in some expensive kit. How wrong. How dissapointing! The sound quality is abismally terrible. Tinny, empty and hollow. No bass, boost, treble - just cheap. As for the rubber earplugs, they 'sort of' worked, but just like the problem I have with standard earphones, they fall out after 5 minutes, regardless of the different sizes supplied. I've gone straight back to the headphones supplied with the ipod, which in comparison have superior sound quality, and the white/black contrast between my ipod and the headphones looks quite cool actually! For better sound quality, I can put up with a little popping out! Leave these amazionians... stick to a pair made for ipod. Save money and dissapointment! I'm delighted with my ipod though...!

I am disappointed!

For about 3 years I was using Panasonic RPHV298 In-Ear Headphones. They there brilliant, superb sound quality! I was using them with my computer at work with winamp. Recently I decided to change especially then I saw these new Sony ones. I was really disappointed. I used to use about 1-3 % of sound slider in winamp (with Panasonic ones) and to get the same sound with Sony I have to use about 90%. And sound quality is not as good as Panasonic, It seems that Panasonic sound is sharper and deeper!
