Vista on the cheap
At this time of year funds are a bit tight. Nonetheless, I decided to bite the bullet and try out Windows Vista. With an Asus A7V8X-X mobo, nVidia 6200 AGP video card and a 2.6G Athlon I thought I might just about squeak it in but Aero needs at least a Gig, and I only had 512Mb of 333MHz DDR on board.
The Kingston ValuRAM is the best value for money in the market but it does the job. And I defy anyone to find it cheaper than Amazon.
Vista is now up and running and may even have an edge on XP but I am sure that this is entirely due to the memory upgrade. Excellent value - top marks. I have already ordered another one for my daughter's machine...
my old laptop just became better
My laptop was just cranky and wouldn't go anywhere. I upgraded it with this memory and it is fantastic now. It looks like a new laptop, never freezes, is super fast, and takes seconds to log on and off. Don't discard your computer due to low memory just upgrade with this cheap and reliable piece.
P.S. my laptop is so old that still used table PC memory cards..... :-) but I will manage for 3 more years with this laptop, and it does the job perfectly and I mean perfectly, since I demand a lot from it, including games, photo editing and music mixing.
