Very pleased with my new camera

This is the second digital camera I've bought and it's by far the best one. It's very easy to use the camera. It's easy to install and use the Camedia Master software which allows you to edit and 'enhance' the photographs you've taken on the Camedia camera. I haven't yet purchased any special paper to print out the photos but I've printed them out on cheap, plain paper, just to make sure everything works as it should and the quality of the printed photos is pretty good so I assume the quality of photos printed out on proper high-quality paper would be excellent.
Picture definition/resolution is good although I understand a real photography enthusiast would want it to be better. I'm an amateur, the sort who generally dusts off the camera for holidays and special occasions, so my demands on a digital camera are perhaps relatively modest. There may be better cameras if you want to pay the price but this camera produces a quality of photograph that is far higher than any non-digital camera I've ever used - and my last non-digital was a very good Nikon that lasted years and produced marvellous quality photos.
I've read previous reviewers' warnings about the camera's voracious appetite for batteries so was ready with a respectable pile of rechargeables. So far though, the batteries have lasted a reasonable length of time so I'm pleasantly surprised not to have my recharger working overtime.

Olympus Camedia C 150

This is a digital camera for those new to digital camera's. From opening the box and reading the simple start up notes to my first picture was a matter of minutes. The instructions and user guides are very straight forward and the controls on the rear of the camera are simple to understand and use. The software that comes with the camera was simple to install and very user friendly, I managed to download all my photographs from my camera and set up one as a wallpaper on my computer within minutes of connecting via the USB.
This is the camera all new users should begin with.

Very good bargain & Great Ease of Use!

I received this great digital camera this morning and I have been using it the whole day to take photos...of everything...the soft toys, dustbins and unexplicably, my wash room. It is so, so easy to use. The easy guide provided is very easy to follow and within 5 to 10 mins... you can start shotting everything you wish...just like me.
As a first time buyer of digital camera, I am really amazed by its simplicity and ease of use. Most importantly it is a great bargain in my opinion.
The only drawback, is that it doesn't come with a recharger and rechargeable batteries. I just finished using my 2 AA batteries today!! Well, partly, its my fault cos I'm trying out the movie mode!! Yep, absolutely right... the movie mode it cool..but no sounds though.
All in all, I highly recommend it to first time buyer... but do get a recharger and rechargeable batteries. Hope this review with be of some help.

Excellent camera

I just got myself one Olympus C 150 camera, few days ago, and I must say that I am completely satisfied with how it works. It is an excellent choice for people who do not intend to spend much money on a camera. It is very easy to use and very user friendly. The only bad thing is the fact that the memory card, going with the camera is only of 16 MB capacity. It provides the maximum of 35 photos to be stored at a resolution 1600 X 1200, which is the only resolution worth shooting. In other words all the buyers of this camera will have to buy an additional memory card of much bigger capacity that the one originally coming with the camera.
Everything else about this camera is just perfect.

Superb wee camera for the price

This is my first digital camera and the pictures its taking are really very good quality. On its own settings it can vary quite a bit but if you use the manual settings such as spot metering and the white balance the results are generally very good indeed.
The digital zoom is pants but apparently this is true of all digital cameras. If you can afford it I'd recommend getting one with an optical zoom (maybe a dearer Olympus one) but for the price and size, and as a first go, this is a wee cracker. It looks the biz too.
You'll need to buy a bigger memory card (but they're quite cheap), a case, recharageable batteries, and a wee book such as the O'Reilly Pocket Digital Camera book, to make up a complete kit.
