Few words short of an Excellent camera.
Summary: If you are prepared to Invest in PC connection kit and are not interested much in low light extreme shootings(Why would you be?) DV60 is nice piece of art.
Following was my experience with DV60:
1/6" CCD performs really nice in well lit outdoor and Indoors, Suffers a bit in poor lighting, like most of them do.
All the standard features such as Image Stabiliser, Optical Zoom, DV Out,AV Output, Built in light everything is excellent. Small size is an added advantage.
Sound quality is perfect.
Color Night View could be better (2 Lux). Photoshot is okay if you want snaps for the web or e-mails (Not good enough for printing), PC connection kit is not supplied with the cam.

Ideal for small budget
This camcorder is a nice piece of kit for the price. The digital camcorder is ideal for anyone on a small budget and yet not compromise too much on quality. It does exactly what it says on the tin - records onto MiniDV and lots more too. It's user friendly too. My wife and daughter find it easy to use. Only thing I can find fault with is the night view, it makes things blurry if they are moving. If you want a camera for filming on holiday, a friends wedding, kids birthday - all the usual stuff, then you can't go far wrong with this. I would say that for anything more professional then look elsewhere.

GR8!!
This camcorder is definately one worth buying. I mainly use it for filming skating, and it comes out with quality picture and sound. The only bummer about this camcorder is that it eats lots of battery in a short period of time!! But apart from that it has different effect modes, including cinema mode, and it's great fun. This is Panasonic at its best!

panasonic nv-ds60b
I found this camcorder awkward to hold and use (that could just be me though), zooming in is fiddly, and the picture was slow to auto focus. Filming indoors in low light is not too good, the built in light is no good as the picture blurs and quality drops. The loading mechanism on mine broke and would not shut.( it was not used that much.)
filming outside was very good uploading to pc via dv out was very easy and is what will make me buy another mini-dv camera (not this make though).

Goood camera but dated
I have owned this camera for 3 years now and it has only malfunctioned once and that was due to wear and tear, a simple fix needed. The quality of the video is very good, there is no signs of compression and the sharpness is excellent. What lets it down is the colour accuracy, comparing it to footage from my new camera it is often over exposed and colouurs washed out. However, for a budget end camera, it is very good but if you can afford buying a more up to date camera, it may be worth it
