The look and feel of this camera is great - small and stylish but packed with features.
Although this is for a first time buyer like me, the 3.2 megapixels and 3x optical zoom lens means it certainly does all you ever need it to.
All of the features mean you can really have a lot of fun with it. The swivel LCD screen lets you take pictures at funky angles and even of yourself (in portrait mode the screen faces you so you can see what you're doing)
There's even a 3D picture mode, panoramic setting and movie recording.One of my favourites was choosing a colour filter so that the picture is seen with only one colour - cool!
Getting around the features is easy with a scroll graphic and easy buttons.
Even in a low light this camera worked really well and I've been pleased with all my pictures.
For the price you get an awful lot for your money and it's been the perfect start to digital photographs.

An excellant first time Digital camera. Easy to use and pleasing results. A point to be aware of is, that downloading images direct from your camera onto a PC is very draining on the batteries.Pentax recommend,in the user manuel,using their Ac/Dc adaptor [Optional Extra.] However,I was unable to get one direct from the Company.The best option is probably to forego an adaptor and opt instead for a USB multi format card reader - price approx £PRICE,available at any high street camera shop.

I wanted to buy a Fuji that was cheaper with the same spec', I'm genuinely pleased that I didn't. This camera does everything I want and more AND the swing around screen is GREAT, you wouldn't believe how often I've used it already and I've only had the camera a week. The slow and fast shutter speeds work like a dream, I've taken photos by street lamp and blinding reflective sun and the auto setting has given perfect results each time. The movies are wonderful and I can't understand why Pentax doesn't spring to mind more easily when digital cameras are mentioned. I've had Fuji and Olympus and both cameras were good, the difference is that this Pentax is great !!! Buy it, you won't regret it.

this camera is fantastic. i am an experianced user and have had a trust 610 camera for 2 years and what a differance it is. this is a great 3.2 mega pixel camera. the flash is realy bright and helpfull. the camera feels tuff and strong. but you need slimish fingers to push the buttons properly, the camera loads up in about 2 seconds which is rather fast for such a quility camera, the screen is great with the swivlness of it.
it is realy help full when trying to get above the crowd. the zoom is great and it realy helps you get in close to the subject. the camera also features a macro mode and for those people who dont know what this means, it allows you to get nice and close to e.g. spiders,butterflies and flowers etc. you can change the screen colour you get 9 choices and you also get alot of differant picture modes. realy i cant list all features. but it is realy great.the camera does not work as a webcam which is a bit of a let down on a 128 mb cf card you get, 72 3 megapixel pics on it. which was also a bit of a let down but its alright. make the right choice. ( you do not get a case with this) it does not have a mic or speaker.

This is a perfect camera, better than many more expensive new cameras on the market. BUY BUY BUY!
