The stand is a great idea if you want to regularly use the smartpanel at a desk but do remember that the panel itself has a hinged stand on its back anyway so this isn't the only way of getting it to stand vertical on a desk.

It does make things neater though with power socket at the back and USB ports. For £150 though you might think twice about buying unless you are very keen on making sure your office looks very futuristic.
