I use them obvously for games and DVD's but wanted something nice for my vast collection of MP3's, and I can say that the quality is just superb. The bass is very good and the little flat satellite speakers are deceptivly load.
Saying that of course it not a £3000 KEF system but for my room it still makes the ground shake, whether I'm listening to crunching guitars or bassy dance tunes.
Struggling to find anything to critisize this - how can you for £45?
So get some - before they put the price up. Thumbs up to Philips, now i can take pleasure in throwing the other speaker in the trash
Phillips Acoustic Power 2.1 Speakers
In the end i decided to go for the Phillips. Even though they are not the cheapest I am definatly glad I invested. Very easy to install and the sound quality is excellent. I only have the bass turned up a quarter on the sub because its so bassy the walls vibrate!
A couple of bad points though, it does not seem to turn up very loud, its enough, but not enough for the thrash metal fans out there. Also when its up to full volume the satellites tend to vibrate a bit.
All in all this is an excellent purchase even with the above and it is definatly worth buying as the sound quality is excellent and you could cut the bass with a knife!
