The best 2.1 setup Ive ever heard!

(5 out of 5) by Iain on Mar 27, 2004 (UK)
These speakers are simply amazing!

Ive always liked Creative speakers. They are really good quality, and the sound is always excellent, so when I needed some new speakers for my PC, I looked straight to them.

The sound quality is simply amazing. The build quality is brilliant as well.

At £99, you simply cant get a better 2.1 setup for your PC.

I have to praise Amazon as well here. I placed my order Thursday evening, and it arrived Saturday morning at 7.30am! I was expecting it to arrive Monday at the earliest. So well done Amazon!

Top quality sound!

THE BEST 2.1 SYSTEM I HAVE HEARD........EVER!!!!!

Went for this system after reading the reviews listed here, yet i still didnt expect it to be as good as it is!

Its an amazing piece of kit which at under £100 notes is a steal. It has replaced my £400 technics seperate system as my prefered listen! --- The Bass is deep yet none intrusive, and the mid/high end is impressivley clear!

I play my ripped music at VERY high bit rate but even when playing 128bit music the sound is nothing short of astounding!

The remote is basic yet instinctive and very easy to use! The build quality of this system is top end! The system combines swarve design and raw power in the best possible way and i am highly impressed!

5 stars is insulting this system, it really is that good!

I ordered from Amazon on Monday morning and by Tuesday Morning at 9:16am it was at my door!

Thank you whoever invented this system, i shall now return to my listening!

Booming Bass Lines!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Mar 23, 2004
Having had a couple of cheap sets of 2.1 set ups during my youth I decided to step up to Creative's sounds, at first I was sceptical as I thought they were only good for making soundcards, but this little setup has proved me wrong.

The sound produced from these speakers is so rich and full and makes my PC sound better than my sony HI-FI! I've played many styles of music from drum & bass to classical, from house to rock all music types sound great.

Playing unreal tournament and watching DVDs is quite nice too!

superb performer

these may seem expensive for a 2.1 speaker setup but their power and quality leave a lot of 4.1,5.1 etc systems behind. THX certified,300watt output and digital input help make dvd,mp3 and games sound amazing, downsides? the satellites are not the smallest or prettiest and the remote is corded rather than infared, however this is nitpicking a very well made piece of kit which amazon are retailing at £80 below list, recommended.

creative megaworks 2.1

(5 out of 5) by Andrew Marson on Nov 25, 2005 (united kingdom)
If you want me to cut to the chase then i say BUY THESE!! if you want me to tell you why then read on....
Always striving for better sound i have always had 2.1 0r 5.1 systems of which ive been through 3 now and then this. All have had a good bass volume but not quality or deep deep bass im used to when DJ-ing at venues. My last set (creative inspire t5400) had an exceptional sound and reading about this system i thought that the creative sound quality would continue, and it has.
The sound on these babys is sooooooo clear, even with my laptops on-board card. You can go as loud as you want and it is crystal clear sound and the speakers are pretty compact. These speakers have a massive 8 inch driver which seriously slams bass into your chest at full volume (which you wont want on for long). There is plenty of power (250w) which if your not too technical is a colossal amount for a multimedia system (cheap home hifis are approx 5w), you can reach extreme volume levels. Word of caution to all however, it is very easy to get carried away with volume levels and in places such as student halls/flats etc you may have some very annoyed neighbours, not because your sound is so clear and it rocks, but they can hear every word and feel every beat :) . Hope this helps you guys who are looking at buying this product. I will just say bite the bullet and buy it, it is amazing.
