I was a bit hesitant when first buying this MD recorder as it is the cheapest in the NetMD range. However, I am now very pleased with my choice. It does everything I expected it too and also looks very nice.

It took me a while to work out what to do but I found the manual very useful.

The sound quality is excellent and the inline remote is very useful!

Overall, I would say that Sony have produced another excellent quality product! Well worth the money!

Oka firstly I'd like to say this is a must buy in that it's a great quality, all inclusive package. everything (except a blank MD) is provided! even the software...
WHERE did it go wrong?! the software provided is a complete waste of time, granted it can get music onto the Minidisc and you can rename the tracks but the problem lies elsewhere. Importing music has never been so pointlessly difficult! SonicStage developers fail to relise that peoples music libraries are constantly growing. For example adding new files to Media player only searches for new files, sonic stage has an inabilty to do this and adds ALL the files again, so when importing it has to be done ONE at a Time... or at least hope you know what you just downloaded!!
RealPlayer 10 is the only other program I found which supports Net MD and although it is Alot easier to use in places it doesn't copy WMA files which is totally useless when half my music files are wma's!!
All in all FANTASTIC product, just Terrible software! Come on windows, include it in your Device list!

At first I was looking to buy an MP3 player or cd player.. Well, I recommend a minidisc without hesitation. What can I say? Small, functional, no skipping (it has gone through severe tests!) easy to use, with all you need to connect it and work with it, FANTASTIC!!! I will never buy anything else. I owned this particular model for a little time and sold it only to buy one with FM tuner. But it has a major drawback... Sony's software. What were they thinking? I have many Sony devices and everything is GREAT. But this software? Still,it is a great purchase. Without question.

What can i say just a great product at a great price! once you have loaded all of the software onto your computer it is just plan sailing. i have found it realy east to set up and it gives out a great qulity sound. It is light and very robust as well taking almost anything that you throw at it and i think that is is probley one of the best portbale audio products on the market and another great prduct from sony!
