Same problem with Onis 200

(1 out of 5) by Yvo on Jan 8, 2007
I am having exactly the same problems with the Onis 200 as described by others below. It fails to connect to the base station and thus I can't make any calls. Often, if it does connect to the base station and I manage to make a call, it disconnects after a few minutes.

Philips Onis 200

I had the same problem with this phone as two other customers.

It just failed to connect after two years. Dare I think that this is "programmed failure"? A new set of batteries was installed as specified following deteriorating standby and talk times, but only worked for approximately 2 weeks.

It is also disappointing that Philips' website does not provide information/troubleshooting on this model.

I would definitely avoid their phones in future.

Onis lasts 2 yrs

(1 out of 5) by Preyas Kamath on Jan 11, 2004 (Cambridge)
The Onis 200 handset worked well for 2 years and then failed to
connect with the base, also the battery keeps charging despite
being full charged. i'm surprised Philips made such a shoddy product!

Handset fails after 2 years - not good enough for Phillips

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 9, 2003
I bought it two years ago, the handset fails after 2 years. Battery keeps on discharging itself, you get 10 minute talk time per 12 hour charge! New battery doesn't solve this problem (another £10 down the drain). It's below my expectation for Phillips. Better off buy a cheap phone, or spend the money on a brand that lasts.

An excellent phone and can be used in the back garden without any sound distortion! The answephone model is easy to use and also quite stylish, not had one fault even after being dropped by my 3 yr old daugter! Highly recommended
