iDeal for iRiver too...

(5 out of 5) by J. Crawford on Jun 18, 2004 (Northampton, UK)
... not just an iPlod... (Did I spell that right?) In fact, anything with an 3.5mm jack plug will sound better with this Sony device. There are cheaper cassette adaptors on the market but they just don't sound as good as this. Trust me - I brought an iRiver!

The Best Available....

(4 out of 5) by Mr. R. S. Majkowski on Jul 4, 2007 (Cheltenham United Kingdom)
If you want to play your MP3 throught the car stereo and you can't hard wire it then there are only two alternatives. Either using an FM transmitter or a car cassette adapter (if you still have a cassette player). Of the two, the sound quality of the latter is superior. This little baby is the best available out there. There is no noise from the mechanism (almost all the others are very noisy), the sound quality is excellent and the price is reasonable.

Quick delivery for a very good product

The Sony Cassette adapter does what it says on the tin.Very easy to use without any complications and the sound is quite acceptable. I had my car radio as loud as possible and there was very little distortion, and the bass came through loud and clear. I hav'nt got a super-duper Hi-Fi system in my car, just a "bog standard" Philips radio, but overall I am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended

Great sound but be careful!

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 28, 2006
Bought one of these after trying a few other cheaper models, these all suffered from poor sound and a dodgy mechanism that rattled and caused the player in my car to auto-reverse. The Sony adapter, however, is superb. Excellent sound and build quality, no rattling, no annoying auto-reverse.

But, be careful! I did manage to break this item by winding the cable around the cassette every time I wanted to store it out of sight in the glovebox (best not to leave it on show as it just advertises that you've probably got an iPod in the glovebox!). The cable split where it enters the cassette itself and my bodge job to fix it was unsuccessful! I was considering trying to do a better job with a soldering iron, but at this price I thought I may as well buy another one and be more careful in future.

If you're using an MP3 player regularly in the car you can't go wrong with this beauty, the chepaer models just aren't up to scratch.

Far superior to other cassette adaptors

(5 out of 5) by Mrs. J. Dainton on Oct 11, 2005 (UK)
I bought a cassette adaptor elsewhere thinking it would be okay but it was rubbish! I then bought this Sony one and couldn't be happier. The sound quality is great, it outputs in stereo, and there is little whitenoise. You won't go wrong with this one ;)
