Well What Are You Waiting For??
(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 29, 2002Being new at this DVD game I have spent a lot of time searching the net and also High Street Stores for a good DVD Player.Always looking for a good deal I compared prices on many DVD players and today recieved the Pioneer DV-550 from Amazon. High Street price much more.. to make multi-region another even higher...Amazon best price..!
After opening the box I found that a Scart lead was required, you could use the supplied cables, but I had already configured my T.V. so that I had a spare Scart socket available.While on the subject of Scart leads I had been quoted that for a DVD player I would need a top of the range lead and it would cost me £39.99.Ha, dont believe everything you hear people, went to my local shop and bought a 3 meter Scart lead for £4 !!!!
Connected it all up and I was ready to go. Film in, True Surround on and hit play. The picture is brilliant and the zoom function is great to get rid of the black lines at the top and bottom of the screen.
Music CD's play very well. I have got my T.V. connected to my Sterio system and the sound is awesome.
This player is a fine looking piece of kit and it performs VERY well and it is well worth the money. As it says in the review, " What are you waiting for"
