Firstly, this is NOT a multi-region DVD player, there are some mis-leading reviews and comments out there. It can be made multi-region by sending it to a few companies who will fit an internal chip, thus invalidating your warranty, but there are companies who will fit the chip and provide there own warranty.

With regards to the performance of the DVD, I have been very impressed, I do not know technical details of sound quality and picture quality, all I can say is I have it hooked up to my Sony 28" Digital Widescreen and watching DVD's has become even more of a pleasure. The picture quality is gorgeous, I can't wait to get surround speakers to check out the DTS. You can't go far wrong with this.

This DVD Player is excellent. Its super-slim, looks the biz and performs outstandingly. It beats any Sony player. The Trusound facility is very good, the picture quality cant be beaten, its superb. The remote is brilliant with a jog dial on it. It has a facility, when you press a button, the essential keys light up! Excellent if you are in the dark with your girlfriend! Seriously...the quality of this DVD player cant be beaten. Pioneer has proved to us once again with their high quality. This player plays audio CD's and MP3's better than my Hifi! The user friendly menu system is brilliant. The added features are countless, having a digital and a co axial inputs. With a dolby surround tv and this high end DVD player the experience is amazing.......trust me.

This DVD player is fantastic, better than any sony. The picture quality is perfect and the virtual trusound activation is excellent. You simply press a button on the remote and the keypad lights up (looks wicked) for when you are snuggling with your girlfreind on the couch in the dark! The menu system is brilliant and the jog dial is simple and effective. This is pioneer so you expect nothing but the best. I bought it in black but I think a silver one is availabe too. The DVD picture quality is outstanding, it really is. A good quality DVD player which also plays Mp3's and audio cd's very well. It plays audio CD's better and clearer than my stereo! Combined with its ultra slim looks and a Dolby Surround TV, its a must....

There is not much to say about this piece of kit,
except AWESOME!! If you like your toys boys (or
girls for that matter) then this is for you. Out of the
box I was impressed with it's size and very sleek
looks. I had to go into setup on the menu to set
Video 1 output video out to RGB, not video
as set in default, (it's not as tricky as it sounds)
in order to get the best quality viewing. The picture
is nothing short of outstanding. It is truly gorgeous.
Pioneer has done us proud boys & girls!
You need a T.V. that is N.T.S.C. compatible to watch
American DVD's. It is worth buying a new T.V. just for
that facility. My American Matrix DVD is a different &
better version than my British version!
Suffice to say it has lots of picture & sound outputs,
marvellous! All in all this is a great player with lots
of really nice touches, Pioneer can pat themselves on
the back. I am really chuffed to bits with this & the
extra money spent really makes a difference.
To sum it up in one word - HUMDINGER!
