Cheap and Cheerful but

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 31, 2003
I purchased these because they were the cheapest but the old saying "You get waht you pay for" rings true here I think. Every other one has had to be junked therefore perhaps a false economy. It may be my writer though because that was a very cheap BenQ one also!

Unreliable

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 18, 2003
The most unreliable CD-R's I have ever purchased. Windows XP fails to recognise most of the CD's as valid CD-R's and 50% of the discs that actually appear to burn fail to work. I have only ever had 3 failed CD's in the past. I will never buy a BenQ product again.

Yeh they are cheap but................

Looks like a great deal- 50 for about a tenner. The first 4 cd's I used didn't work and I dont know if i can be bothered using the rest of them (used another make of cdr afterwards and it copied first time). It might be a bad batch of them but in the past when i have used the same make they dont last long for playing cd's etc.

Rubbish

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 21, 2004
Like others I bought 50 of these waste of space discs and haven't been able to get a single recording to work with my computer freezing every time. I have even upgraded my burning software to a newer edition (Nero 6) but to no avail. Other cheap discs (really crappy Maxell 4x speed!) work perfectly. I'm about to ask Amazon for my money back but suggest you direct yours elsewhere.

Can only burn at 4X

(4 out of 5) by WeazleWip on Feb 27, 2004 (West Midlands United Kingdom)
First couple of burns failed before discovering I could only burn at 4X. This may be my dated PlexWriter, but I see other people with same problem and its ok at 8X with Imation CDs.

Yes, the purple pattern on the CD can get in the way when labelling.

Still excellent value, even though I have to wait that little bit longer...
