Unbelievable Poor Quality!
These BenQ CDRs can be burnt sucessfully without any troubles. However, they are either unable to retrieve your data back from the burnt CDR or they just operate in a very low and unacceptable reading speed. This is surely because of the cheap and low quality of this product. So what is the point for backing up your data on CDR if you will not be able to get your data back. I will never buy anything branded with BenQ again!!!

Better than Verbatim?
Bought a box of these as second-line disks to my rather more expensive Verbatim super AZO Crystal CDRs. I have ended up using the Benqs in preference, as I have had no errors at all, whereas the Verbatims fail about half the time (for the same job). Admittedly I have not used hundreds of disks yet (around 20) but for my setup the difference is clear. No disrespect to Verbatim, but for me, I'll use disks that work (with Artec WRR-52Z & Nero 6)

Not Bad, But A Few Probs...
I purchased these cd-r's mainly for storing photos from my digital camera, and for storing word files, etc - and for this purpose they are totally fine.
however...
...when i attempted to burn an audio cd, i found that i had to use a really slow burning speed. when i burnt at 10x it plays back fine on the laptop but when whacked into a stereo it plays only the first five seconds before jumping here, there and everywhere! i have found 4x to be fine, but haven't tried 8x...maybe it's me being a pc dumbo or something, but then again, maybe i'm clever and these cd's are a bit pantish.
the only other complaint i have is that on the cd surface there is no room to write properly, as it has a coloured gloss covering much of the disk surface. you can still write on it, but if you got purple ones like myself it can be hard to read sometimes.
other than these small blips, they are a quality purchase.

Very, very impressed!
Never tried this brand before but what the heck they are cheap. I thought I'd give one a try at the rated x48 speed to create a VCD. Burnt and played perfectly!!! WOW! I have another brand rated at x16 that won't play if they are burnt over x8. These BenQ ones by far the best I've ever tried.

Nothing but trouble
These cds are truly substandard, ive had nothing but problems with them. It seems every other cd I burn is a dud, they dont burn at the max speed and the data surface can be destroyed just by writing on the back with a pencil.
