No problems
I've used several spindles of these CDRs now and have had only a few coasters - each time due to my computer, not to the discs. The reviewer who complains about 'duds' really needs to check his computer, drives, or more likely his burning software, and as for writing on the back with a pencil... err, you're not supposed to write on CDRs with a pencil, that's what CDR marker pens are for... These discs are cheap, and they are reliable. I've been back for more many times and will continue to do so.

SIMPLY AMAZING
These discs are quite simple amazing when it comes to burning data or music. I was able to burn music at X48 without one single failure. So, do buy a spindle of these BenQ's and see for yourself.

The best discs I've ever used
My CD rewriter is old and non-BURN proof so I need CDRs upon which I can rely.
The surface of a BENQ disc is great for writing on - with a oil-based felt tip pen - as per the manufacturer's instructions. (The special coating of the disc seems to provide some traction for the pen).
I've used the discs in various drives without any problems.
I've found them to be consistently robust and reliable - even when I've used them for the overburning of data (adding more MB of data than the disc's stated capacity (although this is generally not a recommended procedure)).
I tried different discs from many top-brand manufacturers but I now (exclusively) use BENQ CDRs.

Outstanding performance
These CD-r's are quite frankly amazing, I have been buying another brand that always messed up on me. Now with these I never have any problems. Only problem is that they come on a spindle.

Complete Success
I thought I would write this in response to your customer who had problems with these discs.
I have used them with a Windows XP system for about a year now without a single failure or even any hint of a problem. Perhaps there is some other reason for the poor customer's problems - faulty software, a one-off faulty batch or some such thing.
It would be a shame for other potential customers to be put off by such a review, because I consider them to be well-priced and reliable enough to warrant a thorough recommendation.
