This remote is an essential piece of kit if you want to use your camera with a tripod. It allows you to take shots with zero movement on the camera which is obviously important on longer exposures and zoom shots. If you are taking a number of shots from the same position, it makes the job very easy as you just set up the camera, attach the remote and sit back and snap away.
I have had problems a couple of times however when the remote stopped responding. It needed removing and reconnecting while rebooting the camera to fix it. Annoying but nothing major.

This remote is really useful for studio work or family portraits etc. It has a reasonably long cable and plugs into your cameras accessory port (ACC) The control allows you to actually be in the family portrait instead of behind the camera, and avoids having that ten second rush to your place at the back by the time the camera goes off!! Although it does have limited uses it is a very worthwhile accessory at a very reasonable price!
