Great little camera that packs a big punch

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 18, 2002
Kyocera have just about got it right with this superbly built minicam. One of the smallest 4MP cameras available, it performs brilliantly with great reproduction on print, good battery life, up to 125 images stored at med resolution (with 125mb card)and excellent ease of use. It fits good into big hands too, with buttons and menus easy to scroll. The solid stainless steel casing protects from abuse, yet it is lightweight and deceptively powerful. The quality shows in the small detail ... things like the card release door and battery cover which are beautifully engineered. Autofocus is a joy, unlike other models which can get confused with light foregrounds and dark backgrounds.
Tips? Buy a second battery as recharging takes 2.5 hours
Don't be put off by the name Kyocera - it's a Yashica!!
Criticisms: Zoom is a little noisy but what the heck ...

small on size great on quality

Having purchased the S4 after a lot of study. I have found the camera a joy to use . It has some querky features but I like querky things. You need to have an extra battry it takes a rechargable stick which seems to last a short time with led screen on . The camera fits into a shirt pocket and is quite light as it has a metal body. It has a good quality zoom with glass lens . The features are easy to control with the screen and function switch. The instruction book is clear and the pack comes with a quick start guide to get you taking photos.
