Sexy Little Machine

(5 out of 5) by John Rocco on Mar 15, 2003 (UK, Manchester)
This is a fantastic little machine, the picture is great and the sound is fine, but best through a pair of headphones. The construction is sensible, well thought out and fairly robust. I've had this for 4 days now, and I can't put it down. I use it on the train, in work, and even at home. It is much better watching Shania Twain on this, rather than just listening to the music. Go ahead and buy one, you won't regret it. I love it!

small, cute, silver. No its not a very old mouse...

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 8, 2003
I bought this portable DVD player when it was first released and im still impressed by the sound and picture quality of such a tiny little gadget. My only grumble is that is only works with region 2 DVDs, but if u just get them from the uk its unlikely it will effect you in any way. The battery is very reliable and its a tough player cause ive dropped it down the stairs and its fine! Overall the best money ive spent on a random impulse buy!

Excellent portable player

(5 out of 5) by Brian Robertson on Jul 29, 2003
I bought this player for it's size. It's basically a DVD with a square box around it. The 5" display is very crisp but needs a little more brightness and contrast control. The battery lasts around 2.5 hours which is enough for any movie. I have managed to source a 12V adaptor which works both in a car and on those new sockets provided in some planes.

Panasonic LV-50 Portable DVD Rave !

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Mar 1, 2003
I've been looking for a portable DVD player to replace my home system that I could use on the road that would play my multi-region and DVD-R collection (as well as my MP3's, CD's and VCD's) and low an behold- I found it! The system has accepted all discs I've tried on it apart from MP3 collections burnt to DVD-R (which is forgivable I guess). The only 3 things which let the unit down are:

1) Battery life (get approx 1 DVD film on a full charge), but I've got means to recharge the batteries in the car and hotel rooms so not so much of an issue.
2) Sound quality through the internal speakers is tinny, but through headphones and pumped through a TV with surround sound stereo attached, very nice ;)
3) Lack of output options, would have been nice to use the device with my laptop through a USB cable, sure I'll work something out with the video and audio phono jacks though ...

Small but perfectly formed....

(5 out of 5) by Mr. Stephen Pell on Feb 19, 2003 (UK)
When it first arrived I thought it was too small to be of any use. Not so! Despite being billed as an individual's dvd player, the picture quality is such that we have even been able to use it as a family of four! This is a very adaptable piece of kit. It fits on the arm-rest between our front car seats and keeps our two boys in the back amused for hours. The picture quality is excellent and views well from virtually all angles even in relatively bright conditions. Sound quality is adequate for its size. The unit is highly portable and the battery life is adequate for at least one feature film. My only concern is that it is so portable that it will get a lot of bashing when durability could be a problem - unless a good case is provided. All in all an excellent product.
