Simplicity and Quality

Sep 30, 2002 - By Amazon Customer

I bought the 32" model as a replacement for my old analogue TV and what a difference.

The first thing is the simplicity of setup. Check that your aerial is sufficient to receive a digital signal before you start, otherwise get a booster. To tune the TV, you switch it on - as easy as that.

You should get BBC 1,2,4, News 24, Parliament and Choice, CBBC and CBeebies, ITV 1 and 2, Channel 4, Five, QVC and the Travel Channel. If thats not enough then there's more to come soon and the TV will just pick them up when they are broadcast!

The remote is superb and controls not only the TV, but my Sony DVD and Video and it can be programmed to operate other manufacturers equipment.

The final thing is the quality. I don't watch the analogue channels any more, I watch exclusively the digital channels because the quality of picture and sound are superb including the suprisingly good virtual surround.

I promise you, you will see your TV, DVDs and Videos in a whole new light.

Sony at its best

Apr 14, 2003 - By Amazon Customer

There are now three types of TV's worth buying
- the feature packed models
- the great looking models
- and the Sony KD-32DX40.

You just can't go wrong with this TV. Sony have taken all the best bits from all the other models and put them into this one.

Setting it up was really easy - a few button presses and you could instantly watch analogue or digital TV - it does it all for you! It's also really easy to use, with the remote controlling any other connected Sony equipment.

The quality of output, visually and audio is second to none. We were also really impressed by the clarity of digital broadcasts compared with analogues - it is easily comparable to DVD quality.

The KD-32DX40: a masterpiece from Sony.
