First impressions

Aug 30, 2002 - By Amazon Customer

Technology at its finest in this little package. I also own a 5m pixel camera which is big and really wanted a small snapshot to carry anyewhere.
Camera operations: this thing is quick, it takes about a second from 'off' to turning on and taking a picture. And then under a second to take another so its perfect for instant shots.
I like the fact it has built in memory, ableit 12m but good for emergency.
Menu navigation is easy with the joystick. Not too fiddly, although those with big hands might get frustrated.
x4 zoom is optical, so you may aswell take a wide shot and crop how you want on the computer.
Picture quality is ok to good,(1.2m pixels) the automatic settings are cool, auto white balance/flash etc.
Definately good for postcard prints, maybe up to A5, not sure yet.
No macro and its hard to know what exactely its focusing on as there is no half way button to focus away from centre.
Comes with good software, which will automatically load and put pictures into a html page.
MP3 is a nice touch, with good quality headphones. This means you can pose about listening to your fav. music, when something catches your eye - flick the switch and your in camera mode.

This camera is brill for good instant snaps, and doesnt pretend to be anything else. (apart from a mp3 player too!)

Happy Chappy

Amazing mini camera

Jul 29, 2002 - By Saurabh Pandya (Telford, Shropshire United Kingdom)

Not only is this the slimmest 1.2 Mpixel camera that you will find, but it also has a MP3 player built in as well!!! It is perfect for just carrying round with you where ever you go, and need to take that spontaneous picture. Of course, it wont match the bigger cameras in the terms of picture quality, but it more than makes up for that in terms of it's portability; it it only as big as a credit card, and is an incredibly 12mm thick! I am amazed they managed to fit a TFT LCD display on here for previewing your picture - it is very bright, and looks good even outdoors. The included remote control and headphones are great for MP3s. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, and can whole heartedly recommend it to anyone.

This little beauty is great to have in your pocket to capture those moments. Terrific features for its size and surprisingly good quality images. The audio features are a real bonus. If you haven't got one, once you've seen one, you'll want one!!!
