Satisfied MP3 music loving closetpunkgothmetaller

(5 out of 5) by Mr. BJ Ward Miss Parker on May 10, 2003 (Nottingham, England)
I originally ordered the Philips because it looked good and it had some good reviews. When it arrived I was initially dissapointed because it doesn't play full size CD's. After I had burned 10 mini CD's of MP3's(and it will ONLY play MINI CD's, I have warned you) and then plugged it into my car stereo then my dissapointment disappeared. Great sound, easy to use. You get about 40 to 60 tracks obviously depending on the length of the tracks. One improvement I would make is a backlight facility for the dark otherwise I would not hesitate in recommending this machine. Awesome.

A Wonderful Mini

(5 out of 5) by S. Hooper on May 28, 2006 (Hampshire, UK)
This is a wonderful mini-cd player. Sound quality is fantastic and the build quality is as high as I would expect. I have managed to get all my CD types to play - Music on CD-R and CD-RW and MP3 on both types.

AMAZING STUFF!!

(5 out of 5) by Dan Purvis on Dec 16, 2002 (Lisbon, Portugal (!!))
IT'S JUST... BRILLIANT!

i am truly amazed by this product! its just so small! u really dont expect it to be quite as small as it is. The esp is amazing but u dont even need it! Because of the size of the cds they are held so securely that it never ever skips even without the esp on when u shake it about loads! You can fit 50 tracks on one little cd which for me is perfect because i like to have organized types of cd rather than just one 10 hr bunch of everything mixed up. The features are really good allowing very nice bass and and treble top up if u so desire :) havnt quite figured out how u change between albums yet but i suppose you have to specify that on the files individually before writing (ive only used it once!) shuffle, repeat, hold, resume etc its all there with all the features u need. The ldc display is very cool indeed! track number, and scrolling name give a very nice display along with all the other assigned features that are there.

best thing about this product:
has to be the recharge capacity!! True the batteries dont last as long as most cd plaers, but u just plug in the discman at night and its fully recharged, no extra equip needed! and if u run out of power on holiday etc. of course u can just slap in some normal AAA batteres. Brilliant!

overall a truly excellent product. Words cannot do it justice!
Thank you Philips, and thank you Amazon!!!

Nice player, but have 1 problem

(4 out of 5) by Steven on Dec 29, 2002 (Chicago, IL USA)
I bought this in the US (where I live) a few days ago at a Best Buy. It works great with the mini CD-Rs I've burned. Doesn't skip at all, and the batteries last about 7hrs. I had to go buy batteries though because mine didn't come with any, let alone ones that can be recharged through the player. I haven't been able to burn working CD-RWs for it yet. I mean the RWs I burn are functional, but keep showing up in the player as "Unfinalized CD". This is despite my closing the CD upon its creation. I like it's small size, though.
