Phenomenal Value

(4 out of 5) by Kirsty Swierkowski on Dec 11, 2002
Does everything it says on the tin - have tested it with various compilations and various brands of CD's, without the slightest hitch. If you're new to Mp3's, then this baby is the one for you - get yourself a set of leads for a couple of quid, link it up to your hi-fi and you'll probably never touch your CD player again. Size, shape and weight of your standard personal CD-player, you'll never need to take more than one disc on a journey - simply burn your stuff onto a single 50p CD-R and off you jolly well go. This is the future of music, whatever the RIAA / BPI say or try and do and the more we support it, the cheaper CD's will become. HOWEVER - it eats batteries like I eat meat pies. Get rechargeables immediately ! (It does, though, come with a mains adapter and an in-car charger, but for doggie walking, or annoying people on the bus/train etc, you'll need a spare set every other day.) The headphones are naff too - keep falling out, but these are minor problems. The value is terrific...
