Works very well

D-link is a famous ADSL modem company. I have found this modem here nearly at a half price, so I decided to find some vital information about it on the web. Couple minutes of search using Google and I was on the right way. After I browsed their official web site and read 2-3 independent rewievs, I knew they have strong position on the computer market.
Now about the product: easy to install, reliable, quick connection. I've got Windows 2000 OS and the modem works perfectly with it. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a modem , buy it!!!

A good, cheap modem

I certainly don't claim to be an expert on modems, but from my experience this one seems to be a well-made, good value-for-money product. No doubt it has long been superseded by faster, more modern modems, but I have had no problems with the speed of it - it is as fast as the Alcatel Speedtouch modem I had before it broke.

One minor complaint I have is that, although installation was generally easy and straightforward, it required me to specify some settings which I had to contact my ISP to get. My previous modem did not need these settings.

But overall a solid, good value-for-money product.

Potentially good but flawed drivers

I purchased this modem as a replacement for my existing ADSL USB modem. It is easy to install and requires one quick phone call to your ISP for the settings. The major flaw with this modem was that my pc was forceably shut-down twice due to fatal errors caused by this modem.I run XP and would warn anyone who also runs XP to avoid this modem.
