Great price for great speakers

Oct 16, 2002 - By Amazon Customer

I have recently upgraded to the JBL speakers and having paid my £55 I was expecting a signifacant improvement in the Labtec speakers that came with my PC. What I got was a set of speakers that simply blew me away. The sound quality and bass that these speakers produce is so impressive I've even got rid of my Hi-Fi and now just listen to CD's through the PC.

I cannott recommend these speakers enough.

Simply brilliant!

I really can't advise people to buy these speakers enough. I bought them based purely on the first review of these speakers and when i recieved them i was soo suprised. At first i was gutted because the satalites are tiny, honestly 2" in height, 1" wide and i thought to myself "how are these little things going to produce any power at all?". My brother was home when i recived them and luckally being a physisist he reasured me that they were only tiny as they used peazo electric crystals rather than magnets, so they weren't naff they were actually cutting edge. Anyway, so i powered the little things up and i was simply amazed, the tiny speakers work their little socks off and produce some real power without any hint of distorting. The sound clarity is far better than my hi-fi and it produces a very clean accuate sound stage without lacking the grunt to pump out some bass lines. The sub produces very clean and precise base and is a joy to behold. So i really can't say anything bad about them. They are tiny, really good value, plently of power, really nice clean crisp bass and the sound quality and clarity will not be beaten until you increase your budjet by at least 10 fold. They are simply in a different class than any similar offerings from other manufacturers, i am only suprised that JBL think they can make a profit at giving them a RRP of ...

Listen to what the rest have said!!!!!

I was still worried that the small speakers would not deliver any thing resembling the sound I was looking for despite the rest of the reviews. I could not have been more wrong, they blew my socks off. Don't get me wrong if you have a half-way decent set of hi-fi speakers over 12 inches and £200.00 then you will get a better sound. But these mini speakers deliver perfect sound quality and real grunt when required, at a fraction of the cost. I can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic sound from such small speakers

These speakers look puny when taken from the box but they sound miles better than our normal stereo system, loud yet clear mid-range and distortion-free bass. Just don't be tempted to turn it all the way up on first try especially when playing action games such as medal of honour. Your neighbours will feel every explosion!
