It's picture & sound quality are excellent.We was going to buy a recordable dvd player but I'm glad we changed our minds, as it was more affordable & good quality for the price. We have now rigged it up to our hi-fi & it sounds great.We'd like to thank all you folks who recommended it (on customer reviews) as we'd have missed out on a good thing if it wasn't for you!!!!!

Seriously good value
(5 out of 5) by Ms K Chambers on Dec 1, 2002 (London)As a non-techy - I can say that all you need to know about this machine is that you will not find better value on the market. Toshiba machines in general last years - I still have my VCR from 1988. It is also a genuine multi-region which makes it superb value as you can order DVDs from Canada USA etc. It is simple to use and although DVD is an excellent medium in itself, you will still marvel at the visual clarity of the pictures. It is simple to use (Keep It Simple Stupid KISS principles in the instructions!!!)and is one of the smallest DVD players I have seen. Buy it - welcome to the world of DVD. Amazon also delivered it pronto - c36 hours from order to getting my mitts on it.

True Stuff
(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 10, 2002My friends this DVD player is excellent for its price. It is very easy to setup and running especially if you have a new Toshiba TV like I have. Like one of the reviewers have said that it does not play NTSC format (You are wrong mate) you need to read the manual. This DVD player supports NTSC to get it working you need a TV that supports NTSC.

Very good but lost its multi-region capability
(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 23, 2004Very good player for the money. But the only time I've used its'multiregion' capability (with a Chinese Region 3 disk) the picture soonbecame black & white and stays that way until the player is turned off. Otherwise brilliant.

Promising - Good Spec. - Low Price

The unit just looks quality with sturdy and hard wearing (so far so good!) features. The remote does let it down a little - but that's only one gripe in an otherwise superb first timer's player.
