I was looking to change my current Multi-Region DVD player for something that would play VCD's & CDR's. Initially I was a little reserved as I have never heard of H&B before, but buying this was deffinately a good decision.
This little package not only plays CDR's / VCD's / Multi Region DVD's but also MP3's . Infact I think it'd play my VHS tapes if I could get them through the slot !!
The picture and sound quality are good, the system looks great and is very slimline. It makes an odd 'PING' noise when you open and close the cd tray - which kind of adds to the charm.
The MP3 player option is easy to use, but I have found that it only plays the MP3's in one folder at a time - so if you have a number of albums in different folders on a CD you have to play the contents of one folder at a time - not a major problem though.
Overall for the price this is a really good buy.

...Looks great and worked straight out of the box. Setup menus a bit confusing or is it me? One slight problem which I have found is that when using the scart connections I lose the terrestial picture input when I switch the DVD off using the remote control. When I switch it off using the switch on the front panel the terrestial picture returns. Anyone had the same problem? Otherwise all seems OK. Early days but impressed so far.

Out of the box came an ultra slim well designed player that had every connector and lead possible, if you want to use them, and was simply plug and play.
The Dolby sound is through my Dolby T.V. and Dolby stereo and makes every raindrop fill the room. Traffic noise makes me think I can smell the fumes!
The stereo sound was off at first but a visit to these on line reviews gave me the answere in minutes. On screen menus are English by default and are simple to follow.
It has a cute PING when the drawer opens and will play anything. You just put in the disk press play and it finds out what it is in seconds and plays it.

Looks great, sounds better and picture quality through Scart is crisp and the features from the remote control are never ending.

What a machine. One of the slimmest models around and looks the part. Easy as pie to set up, simply plug in scart lead (supplied) and away you go. I tried all formats:-
DVD (regions 1+2), VCD, SVCD, CDr and MP3 and all worked first time. Main menu easy to alter via remote control. I had a Sony S525D before this one which had to be "chipped" for multi-region playback and refused to play anything but originals. The picture quality on this H&B machine is just as good if not better and is less than half the price. All this including a 5.1 decoder... Unbelievable value. I would recommend this machine to anyone. Summed up in one word BRILLIANT !!!!.

I won't go on too long about this DVD Player as it has been said before. In a nut shell it is fabulous to look at and fabulous and easy to use...just connect it to your television and off you go. My DVD library is growing steadily with Region One and Two DVDs, which it plays with no problem at all. The good news also is that it plays RCE DVDs as well......I know as I've bought and played them.

This DVD Player is well worth the money and I would recommend anyone to buy one.
