I bought this cordless phone for its caller id and extended phone book feature. I found all I want. 200 numbers can be added to its phone book with a single date assigned to each number (birthday, wedding anniversary etc.) You may leave this date entry empty if you want. I couldnt't manage but in its manual it says that sending SMS is possible. Graphical Display is wonderful. It has also an alarm and reminder (for only a single event). But as a deficiency, in case of power shortage, the clock and alarm is being reset. I couldn't understand why this happens. Because the handset has its own batteries. But as far as I know, some other brands have the same disadvantage. This is a little bit boring but anyway, I don't want my phone to be my essential alarm clock. Nevertheless, this product is very user friend and smart. Sound quality is very good. I think its overall performance deserves 4 stars.

I have tried many digital phones, and this has to be the best one yet! Quality made handset, unlike many of the cheap plastic lightweight ones currently available. Easy to use, 200 name & number directory, and reception to and from callers is second to none. If I could change one thing on this phone it would be to include a few more standard ringtones. There are plenty of ringtones to choose from, however they do sound a bit too 'electronic' or 'mobile-phone' sounding for my liking.

To send text messages from a land line to a mobile the facility has to be supported and/or set up by your network. If you are using BT then this should not be a problem.

My family really enjoy the hands free option on this phone, plus when Granny comes to stay it means she can use this feature of the phone with her hearing aid.

I give this phone 4 stars.
