Very good speakers for the money!
(4 out of 5) by M. AHMED on Mar 13, 2003For the bargain price, you really can't go wrong with these great sounding speakers! Out of the box you get a separate active-subwoofer unit, a compact one-piece speaker unit, wireless remote and and connection leads.
Sound quality is very good for videogames and movies. Ok, so the overall bass power, surround sound and volume isn't as good as that of larger (and more expensive) 5 or 6 speaker dedicated surround sound speaker systems, but there is no denying the fact that for the low price these speakers greatly enhance your overall video gaming and movie watching experience. An added bonus is that Creative Labs have supplied all the connection leads you could need to connect the speakers to your Playstation 2, PC, DVD player, Mp3 or most other systems. Has its limits, but this great speaker system just has to be fully RECOMMENDED!!

Very Good
(4 out of 5) by Steve Dodman on Oct 21, 2002If you want great sound on your games, music CD's and DVD's on PS2 look no further than these speakers. They sound better than the £200 speaker set connected to my PC. One slight problem is that they don't work on Dolby playback unless source material is encoded in 5.1 standard, but 90% of new films are.

Sound system takes gaming to whole new level of enjoyment
(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Apr 21, 2002Having recently purchased a Playstation 2 and feeling the need to treat myself to another piece of gadgetry, I invested in the new CREATIVE LABS PS2000 sound system. The package includes a one-piece speaker and separate sub-woofer which although are relatively compact, provide superb "virtual" Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound which takes gaming and viewing DVD's to a whole new level of enjoyment.
I found it was simple to set up, it can be used with your Playstation 2, MP3 player, P.C and many other systems which makes it a very useful and versatile piece of equipment.
When playing shoot-em-ups the sound system takes you to the front line, when playing sports games your there in the crowd, the sound is incredible. Stick on a DVD and you'll be blown away with sound coming from all directions, hear doors close behind you and bullets whistle past your ears.
If your going to buy any extra gadgets for your Playstation 2, make it the CREATIVE LABS PS2000 sound system. The sound will BLOW you away. Superb value for money, you'll wonder what you did without it!
