Great value and performance

Great card! Fast and secure, I have used it both in a digital camera and in a laptop (via pcmcia adaptor) with no problems in the slightest. The capacity is more than enough, and the speed is excellent and certainly noticeably faster than other Compact flash cards I have used. Value for money certainly - this speed and storage at the low price makes this card higly recommended.

Cheap Price Not Cheap Quality! Its brilliant i used it in my Coolpix 3100 (Great Camera) Access times have been sl;ashed compared to that of the standard 8xspeedd 16Mb nikon card a good compromise as the 512Mb and 1GB cards are more expensive. My camera says i have 316 photo space on the highest resoultion. More than enough.

Buy it.

Lexar 256, very good.

I had bought the Canon S50 from amazon, but like most new cameras they only come with about 32MB of memory.

The Lexar 256MB Pro 12x speed worked out as a better deal than buying 2 Lexar 128MB 8x speed, which I was going to do.

The card. It is very quick!!!!! Compared to the 32MB compact flash that came with the S50 it is so much quicker in 4 areas:

1) Taking photos- the delay between photo shoots has been reduced.
2) Switching between photo shoot and review mode is much quicker.
3) Going through the photos taken in the review mode is now an instant, hardly any loading time.
4) Downloading time has been cut down aswell, very helpful when photos taken a max resolution.

Apart from the speed of the card I can now store upto 99 pictures at max resolution and minimum compression, or over 2000 pictures at min resolution max compression!!!!
Plus I can just leave the 256 card in the camera than swapping cards over with lower memory.

I would recommend this to anyone planning to but extra memory for their camera.
