This mp3 player still packs a punch even though it is so cheap. Yeah, there is only 32mg onboard memory but it has a smart media card slot though. You should be able to afford a card with the change you saved from the player. There are good bass and equiliser options and the player has a good solid feel but it is still very light. The only thing which the player doesn't have is an inline remote control, also, the headphones do not really do the player justice. However this is still an alround good performer.

This is my first and only MP3 player that I have purchased.
What do I like about it.
Well it's nice and compact, very easy to use. The software that comes with it is extremely easy to use. I hardly had to read the manual at all, although it is perfectly well detailed. I thought not having the name of the track displayed would annoy me it doesn't and it's not like you can store that many songs.
The only downside is the number of songs you can store on the 32mb memory, but I knew this before I bought it and I will purchase a memory card shortly.
To summarize, a great mp3 player, I would recommend it.

It may not have the most features or a load of memory but it is good value. I didn't have any problems with selecting tracks like one of the other reviewers. Infact the only real downside is that it doesn't work with 128MB Smartmedia cards.
If you want a cheap memory base MP3 player then seriously consider this one.

This player out performs anything and everything in this price range and many above it. As a beginner player it cant be beaten. Its simple, effective and although it has a small capacity the SmartMedia cards are easily found and relatively cheap.
If this is your first venture into MP3 this is the best way to start.
Buy It.

I used to have a Philips Rush, which i bought because it looked nice and was a good brand name. Then I broke it whilst riding my bike-'should've gone for somethin cheaper and less fancy',i thought.
That is exactly why I bought the MP-F50. It's cheap, small, very light and most importantly:plays music. Everything that i needed. The software's simple (simple to use), and it downloads songs much faster than my old MP3 player (about 5seconds per average song).
For the price, it can't be faulted. OK, so there's no backlit display & its not the best looking player out there, but for the £75 Amazon are selling it at there's no competition.
Also, contrary to other reviews i read, it does change between tracks instantly-and isn't at all slow.
If you want function, not fashion-BUY IT.
