This mp3 player still packs a punch even though it is so cheap. Yeah, there is only 32mg onboard memory but it has a smart media card slot though. You should be able to afford a card with the change you saved from the player. There are good bass and equiliser options and the player has a good solid feel but it is still very light. The only thing which the player doesn't have is an inline remote control, also, the headphones do not really do the player justice. However this is still an alround good performer.
Beginner MP3 At It's Best
This player out performs anything and everything in this price range and many above it. As a beginner player it cant be beaten. Its simple, effective and although it has a small capacity the SmartMedia cards are easily found and relatively cheap.
If this is your first venture into MP3 this is the best way to start.
Buy It.
Why So Slow?
It's a good price, it's light and u should have enough money to get the extra memory that you'll probably need. The digital display is better thought out than other MP3 players i've seen except for the names of the songs not coming up. - Very annoying. But when changing tracks it takes about 30 secs between each one!!! Surely this can't be normal for most MP3's? And when you are changing track it doesn't say which track you have changed to before it has basically started playing. - Also very annoying!
Good Price, Good Player
It may not have the most features or a load of memory but it is good value. I didn't have any problems with selecting tracks like one of the other reviewers. Infact the only real downside is that it doesn't work with 128MB Smartmedia cards.
If you want a cheap memory base MP3 player then seriously consider this one.
MP-F50 MP3 Player
This is my first and only MP3 player that I have purchased.
What do I like about it.
Well it's nice and compact, very easy to use. The software that comes with it is extremely easy to use. I hardly had to read the manual at all, although it is perfectly well detailed. I thought not having the name of the track displayed would annoy me it doesn't and it's not like you can store that many songs.
The only downside is the number of songs you can store on the 32mb memory, but I knew this before I bought it and I will purchase a memory card shortly.
To summarize, a great mp3 player, I would recommend it.
