Simple effective solution.
I've only had it a few days now but it works well and the sound quality is very good. I found I had to turn my Creative Zen's volume up to full for a normal tape volume level, so have to remember to turn it down again when I put the earphones back in (which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars), but otherwise it's an excellent device.
Note: if you have to push your cassettes in with the long sided tape opening first this may not fit because the wire comes out from either the top or the side, not the back, but as most car casettes load sideways I've had no problem.

Sony car stereo cassette adaptor for iPod
If you have a car which has a cassette player function and an Ipod with a stereo out jack this is the in car adaptor for you. You can spend loads of money on fancy ipod adapters which you can tune your radio into which sounds cool but more often than not the sound quality will be poor. With this you get as near perfect sound as your gonna get from an ipod, by simply connecting the jack coming from the cassette into your ipod headphone socket and putting the cassette into your cassette player. YOUR CAR CASSETTE PLAYER MUST TAKE CASSETTES LENGTHWAYS (THE SHORT SIDE GOING INTO THE PLAYER) DUE TO THE WAY THAT THE CABLE COMES OUT OF IT)
Theres nothing else to say really other than it does exactly what its supposed to do and there is very little if any tape noise from the unit whilst it is going round.

Really useful
If you're like me and have a slightly *older* car that has a cassette player, this is a brilliant little piece of kit that lets you play your iPod or MP3 player or what have you in your car. New technology and old technology in perfect harmony!
good product
product is very good, high standards and works perfectly. i have never had any problems with it so far and i hope there won't be any in future. i have previously bought products from amazon and none of them have ever had any faults, therefore i will continue bieng an existing customer. i hope amazon keeps up with the good work and provides products with satisfying results.
Great piece of kit - why buy an FM transmitter?
Sony Car Stereo Cassette Adaptor for all iPod/MP3/CD/MD/Walkman Players (Black)
Having failed to get good quality sound from a Griffin iTrip FM transmitter (it's hard to believe how many FM bands are actually taken up by local and national broadcasts, creating far too much interference), this solution seemed like a good alternative.
I wish I'd spotted it before the transmitter. Great piece of kit, producing excellent sound quality when coupled with a Sony Walkman MP3. I've seen reviews which suggest taking bits of plastic off the head, and problems with the sound of the tape mechanism. I can only say that I had to remove nothing, and the tape mechanism noises are no worse or obvious than when playing a normal tape cassette.
The unit comes with 2 warnings - switch Dolby off (for those old enough to know what that is)....and there's a rider on the packaging saying that the unit won't work with some cassette players (unhelpfully, there isn't a list of what these are - however because of the cable connection, it can only work with side loading cassette players, i.e. those with the heads on the right).
It helps that Amazon's delivery system is good too - quoted 3-5 days before it arrived, mine appeared after 2 days.
