Wonderful!

Aug 24, 2002 - By Shawade (UK)

How can something so dull as media-storage look so damn sexy and beautiful?! These Minidiscs are a delight to see and touch, on top of that they ooze quality and can be re-recorded on many times without noticeable loss in quality. As a NetMD Addict I have found that I delete and move and re-record tracks onto a disc many more times than I would with a traditional MD and these discs cope with my indecisiveness wonderfully. Excellent - buy them.

Sony minidiscs (10 pack)

Jan 9, 2002 - By jimzstuff@hotmail.com (Bristol)

these minidiscs are the best ive had yet in the way that i'm allways searching for my plain minidiscs for hours before i can find what im looking for. Colour means that i can search for my music alot quicker if i memerise the colour. The only problem is, they are not very shock-proof even with a semi shock-proof player

Great discs, but a small quibble

Aug 7, 2002 - By WP Wiles (London, UK)

These discs do rock when it comes to recording quality, but I've been disappointed by a small practical quibble. Their sleeves, though very smart, don't seem to have a place for stickers, and no sleeve stickers are available in the package (unless you're meant to use the same stickers as you put on the disc, which I've tried but they're the wrong size). This leads to two problems: One, you can't read the track listing when the disc is in the machine, and two, space for track listings is very limited. A small point, but I've found it very frustrating.

Great discs but go for the 80 minute ones instead

Nov 21, 2003 - By Shawade (UK)

Remember the TDK SA90 cassette when you were a young kid? It was the Daddy wasn't it? Sounded great & looked fab. When you dropped an SA90 into your Sony Walkman you knew that you looked so much cooler than the guy with his Saisho walkman and D90 tape. Didn't you?
I know there is a debate about some minidiscs sound better than others but at the end of the day this is a digital storage medium, I am sure that you dont get clearer jpeg images from one brand of floppy disc to another and for me the same is true of minidiscs. Choose a minidisc because of its reliability and how good it looks. These are Sony so the quality is top shelf. In addition with the translucent coloured shells they look Classy. Cool. The Daddy. Whatever your descriptive taste, these minidiscs are the SA90 of the modern world.
But get the 80 minute version, if you are using LP2 that is an extra 12 minutes so 3-4 songs per disc.

great!

These minidiscs just feel and sound superior to others that I have used. The matt finish on the cases doesnt seem to scratch at all, and mine knock around a lot in my bag with money, keys, etc. Well worth the slight extra cost in my humble opinion!
