YOU NEED THIS!

Jul 5, 2002 - By Amazon Customer

A surge protector is one of those essential items which people tend to think they do not need until the suffer hundreds of pounds of damage from not having one. Electrical 'spikes' are frequent occurences, and damage electronic hardware like computers, either catastrophically or as a cumulative effect over time. A few pounds spent here is well worth it - trust me!

The Belkin 4 way model is sturdy, well made and nicely priced. It'll protect against general power surges and thats all you can ask for. NOTHING will prevent against lightning strikes so don't start thinking you can now leave things plugged in during a storm because you can't, but for general protection its great. Two power lights indicate that its working and earthed and it comes with a little under 2 metres of cable.

If you need more sockets, there is a 8 way version and a 4 way version if you need less, with prices rising or falling to meet these higher or lower specifications. We use these at work and they have served us well.

An essential buy

Feb 23, 2003 - By P. Grocutt (UK)

If you have expensive audio visual equipment then this is an essential buy.
It protects from spikes and surges and comes with a lifetime warranty. If it blows, they replace it.
It comes with a £20,000 replacement insurance so all your equipment connected to it is covered. It is sturdy and it does exactly what it says it does. Simple.
In two words "buy it". You wont regret it.
