BLACK DIAMND CDR'S FROM TDK

As the master is transferred to the receiving disc the chrome surface as opposed to the black surface allows the light (laser) to splash just a bit as it rewrites the disc. This results in the possible errors of recording and not quite as crisp as the black surface. Therefore you can say that you get a more perfect duplication with the black surface than with even the pro triple scratch resistent type.(...)

The best ones so far
(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 20, 2001I've been trying so many brands and models without success, particularly when it comes to creating Video-CDs.
With these black diamonds, I never had any problem whatsoever, video-cds just play fine on my standalone DVD player and I can burn at max speed (12x in my case) without any worry.
