Impressed by comfort

Nov 29, 2001 - By Amazon Customer

I tend to spend a lot of time using headphones, and up until recently very often used to take them off for a break because my ears began to hurt. However these Plantronics are extremely light and comfortable, and I found myself getting up a few times without even realising I still had them on - something that has never happened to me before. The sound quality is excellent, and the USB convenient, as you can have speakers plugged in as well as headphones without messing around at the back of the PC.

They also have a very long cord and a mute button. I'm no expert when it comes to sound quality, and frankly, no headphones are a match for thumping surround sound, but as headphones go they are certainly amongst the best I've tried.

Very impressed.

Comfort, style, simplicity

Nov 22, 2002 - By Amazon Customer

I purchased this headset because i wanted something a little more than the usual on a bit of a budget. This headset is amazingly light when you feel it and almost feels flimsy, but as i have run my swivel chair over them many times after stupidly leaving them on the floor they have passed my build quality test. The sound quality that comes from these headphones is excellent, having the extra dsp box in-line adds great depth to the sound. I only have a budget sound card but these headphones actually improve the music. Anyway, if your looking to buy a headset but dont want to fork out for the overpriced and underfeatured product, then buy these

smashing!!!

Feb 28, 2003 - By Amazon Customer

i bought a set of these headsets after having owned several normal headsets which i was appaulled at. speech recognition was poor on my old headset and blah blah blah. it was countless problems!!

this headset, on the otherhand, is in a different league. you dont require a soundcard because that is all sorted by the DSP box that connects to the USB port. build quality is amazing and the pickup from the microphone is top notch!! only thing that lets me down is the less than speaker like bass response but thats to be expected. should this pair that i have break, then im going straight for the DSP500 with the 40mm headphones!!

Everything I wanted..

Sep 9, 2003 - By Amazon Customer

I was looking for an affordable but high-quality headset to play games and chat online with. Luckily, I found it. This headset is high-quality all round, and I had basically no problems installing it. Just install the files from the CD, plug it in and it worked right away. The microphone and sound quality are brilliant, and the headphones are fine. As for comfort, the headset is adjustable and I have had no problems whatsoever with fitting it on comfortably.

If you want a high-quality headset and don't want to fork out for the more expensive DSP-500 , the DSP-300 is an excellent choice.

Could be excellent

Nov 17, 2003 - By Amazon Customer

Really dissapointed because the sound quality is excellent however the mic was the problem. If you have an external sound card - there seems to be a conflict with a USB sound card and these headphones.

The microphone had bad static and nobody could hear me. I looked at the latest drivers and trouble shooting on Plantronics website but no luck

Could be excellent and probably is if you have an internal sound card (as most ppl do)
