Pictures made by this camera are really super sharp and the colors are great. Also the new User Interface (I've tried the older s70) is much friendlier than the old one. If you want a really good camera, this is the one you want. It shows years of Sony experience in digital camera's and Zeiss experience in optics.

I have used this camera around the world and have found the quality of the pictures to be oustanding. The high density 2048+ pictures are good enough to print out at A4 size.

Great camera.....

As a dedicated SLR (Canon) user, I was a bit aprehensive about moving on to digital. No need to worry - this piece of equipment provides all the facilities of a 35mm with the added advantage of instant review of your shots. But you do need a good quality printer to do its capability justice.

I have used this camera for 3 months now and I am very pleased with both built quality and image quality.
It's menu system is easy to operate but the small dinky button is bit fiddly for big hand.
Shame that it came with ridiculous 8mb memory stick and no cover.
But once you have decent size memory stick then this is real quality product to live with.
Sony patented Infolithium battery last hours and tells you battery life in minutes as well.
At this price, there should be few rival to match this product.

If you really want to travel around the world taking lots of pictures with high-quality, then you can get one of these... small enough to travel with and feature-rich with high-quality lenses. You will need to buy a decent MemoryStick though... 128 Mb highly recommended.
