As you can guess from my rating of this vcr and the title of this review, I am very happy with this purchase. I had needed a new VCR for some time and so I spent alot of time researching the various products on the market and finally settled with this one, and I haven't looked back since. Probably the best feature of this VCR is the super long play function. Basically a four hour tape becomes a twelve hour tape. How amazing is that. There is also the super fast rewind function. I used to hate when my old VCR took ages to rewind a tape, this one is very fast. Apparently it can rewind a 3 hour tape in 60 seconds. I haven't timed it but it sounds accurate. Its got all the basics aswell: auto tune for the channels, stereo sound, timer record, etc. One warning though - Its not the cheapest VCR around. There are alot of other VCRs that are around that are [...] cheaper, but most dont have the super long play function that this one has. Basically I recommend this VCR strongly. I already convinced one of my mates to buy it and he's as pleased as I am. Another plus point is that its made by Panasonic so you know it going to be a good quality product.
(1 out of 5)A Poor Quality Unreliable Machine
After having this Video Recorder for just under a year it has started to develop faults. I expect much better quality and durability from a decent manufaturer.
The controls of the machine are clumsy and poor. The PDC on the machine seems to work very occasionally as a friend with the same machine has confirmed.
It looks like I will have to buy a new Video Recorder and will never buy a Panasonic again.
