Excellent quality, very user-friendly

I have never used a digital camera before so I was very careful when deciding on which one to buy. I surfed the Internet and found out that this camera is No.1 for cameras that cost under US500 with best quality and features.
Fuji FinePix 1300 exceeded my expectations. I am so satisfied and happy with it. If you want a basic digital camera to just take pictures and send them to friends and family, this is the one you want to pick. Even on the normal 640*480 mode, the photo quality is superb. I even took some scenary pictures under bad weather, but they turned out so well, I was so impressed.
Uploading pictures is extremely easy, just connect the camera to the USB port, drag and drop the files onto the local drive. Wa-lla!
It is so easy to use and produce high quality images. I love this camera!

Excelent

I was unsure on buying this camera because i was woried about the picture quality, after writing to people who had bought the camera, i was getting very possitive feedback. I went ahead and bought the camera. When it arrived(next day) i was very impressed with the style and size. The Picture quality is excelent 10/10 (clear shots from very far away and close up). Bulk 9/10. Software/hardware installation was very messy, it had problems finding the drivers. My friend who bought the camera after me said the same thing.I think they could improve this heaps 1/10. Saving images and transpoting is so simple i cant see it being a problem on anyone (very good)10/10.On the 8mb card you can store 12high quality images.OR 24 standard (which is still Very good!!)and 48 low res (which still good but not excellent. You can impove the card by spending a bit more on a a6 or 32 mb card. 8/10. Battery life eats very quick (try buying rechargable battery 4 AA's) 2/10 i hope this write up helps you on making the right desision on buying the Fuji FinePix 1300 Digital Camera . Feel free to e-mail me at mastah1811@yahoo.com and i will send you a pic or two. Enjoy overall Bargain!!!! at a supurb price!! also i shoped around and you will NOT find it anywhere cheeper in the uk.

top class user friendly camera

I bought this as my first camera and was worried that digital may have been a step too far for a beginer, but i was pleasently surprised to find the 1300 to be easy to use and high quality to boot. I thought i would need a memory upgrade straight away but i dont as you can store up to 89 pics on the 8mb smart card, top class.

The more I use it, the more I like it.

I have had my camera for a few months now, and I have to say that it is worth every penny.
I bought a charger and 8 Ni-MH batteries for it, and a 32MB card. This allows me to take 100 Hi-Quality images, or 180 acceptable ones. I use Linux, so am well pleased with how fast and easy it is to integrate it with this O/S. After a while, you get into the swing of just -using- the camera to capture fleeting moments, and it becomes an extension, like an SLR or rangefinder. Overall, one of the most used cameras I have ever owned. It has replaced all but my 6x6!

FinePix 1300

Perfect beginners all-round Digital camera. Simple to use, Would not replace a 35mm camera, but is ideal if you want to easily take reasonable quality digi-pics for e-mail or web site use. No digital cameras under this price point take sharp and clear enough pictures to be taken seriously, however this one does.
Basically if you want to take photos to e-mail, this is the camera, since you are going to compress the image anyway. If you want to print A4 size full colour shots, go buy a £400+ camera.
