Useful all in one phone

This phone covers all my needs but misses some. It is not possible to turn off the base volume completely so every one gets the chance to hear your messages as they are coming in and the text on the handset is very small. However the earpiece a la mobile for the handset is a real boon and the phone itself is very easy to use and very attractive to the eye.

Rubbish

I've had this for 8 months and, it appears to be a cool, small neat phone but suffers from (a) no-one can hear you !! I am constantly being asked to speak up, repeat what I said, sorry, can you say that again.... - the microphone is poor. (b) you can't leave the answerphone on and be able to answer the phone in time. Six rings (i.e. 3 seconds) is just not long enough.

So long. Samsung.

I bought this phone and, well, I wish I hadn't. As someone has already said; you have to shout to be heard, the reception is variable to none, and the 'rechargable' battery doesn't last.
The phone has finally failed with the battery unable to recharge for any length of time, with the phone turning off in the middle of a conversation. I feel this wasn't an intended 'feature' and as a consequence it sits on my desk as an inglorious paper weight.
ET once said 'Phone home'. Well I wouldn't with this phone.

CHECK YOUR NETWORK COMPATABILITY FIRST!

I have this phone and love the small size and headset. You CAN turn the speaker off if you select OFF under CALL SCREEN. I don't like the fact that it doesn't work under Telewest network. Also you have 10 ring tones to select but it only alters the handset not the base ring. Thirdly you can only VIP three callers, and fourthly the answerphone comes on after a max of six rings which is not long enough as Samsung count a double ring as two. (comprendeh?)Therefore three rings and the answerphone is there unless you turn it off altogether. Finally, the ring is not loud enough even at the highest setting and as you can't put it on the wall I can't keep it in the hall and keep missing calls!! I think it's going back.....

Looks gorgeous. But some let-downs.

It looks even nicer than in the photograph: slim yet nice and solid. It's a shame it's a bit of a pain to use.
The handset is designed with a very, very small speaker hole. It takes a little while to figure out where to put the handset against your ear. And the buttons on the handset are tiny!
The handset software isn't good, either. Like a mobile, it keeps a note of the last ten received phone numbers - but this is buried away in a menu option four keypresses away from the top.
On the other hand - the caller ID works just fine with BT lines, and the sound quality of the speaker phone isn't bad at all. I like the feel of the large, nicely spaced buttons of the main unit. I get the impression it was designed by a different team from the handset - and this group did a much better job.
And it's nice to hear a proper British voice on the answerphone!
