BT Phone Home

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jun 15, 2001
Not a bad little phone, and there's part of the problem. It's rather light and insubstantial making it slightly awkward in use. No easy hands free operation using the mark one shoulder. We also found that the range was limited especially in our stone house, meaning use of the phone in the kitchen needed the base to be moved to a nearer socket. Clarity was good but the sound could be muffled if the phone wasn't placed exactly over the ear. Sometimes I found my speech was giving echo ladened feedback making the whole experience slightly unpleasant. This seems to have settled now - wonder why? The coloured covers look OK but I get the feeling that a stout piece of sticky tape is only a short time away as they can come off all too easily. In summary it does everything it should but is just OK rather than wonderful.

Could be better

(3 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 24, 2001
I was expecting a really good phone, however with odd menu set ups and difficult to use buttons I was not impressed. I found the sound of my voice was echoed if I was too far from the base unit. It does what it's ment to do but could of been a lot better with a bit more work from the people who designed it. If your expecting all the functions of your mobile phone on this phone think again! BT even charge you for the caller ID service!
